Reading Commons Weekender: Three Hot Brunch Spots

brunchblog

Weekends should feature moments of indulgence. Sleep in a little, pull on your favorite sweats or yoga pants, put your phone on Do Not Disturb, and head on over to one of these three choice brunch destinations. Huevos rancheros, anyone?

  1. Christopher’s Restaurant: Yes, you’ve been here, but have you been here for brunch? It’s all your favorite qualities about the place, enjoyed while the sun’s still shining and the whole day is ahead of you. The eggs benedict are delish, and you can’t go wrong with any of the French toast options. 580 Main Street.

  1. Fusion Café & Restaurant: Expect a wait on a Sunday morning, but who wouldn’t stand in line for corned beef hash and eggs? If you’re looking for something on the sweeter side, try the caramelized banana French toast. Brunch traditionalists might go for the biscuit and gravy instead. 607 Main Street.

  1. Omelette Headquarters: Set in an old train station, Omelette Headquarters is old-school, not even bothering with a website. That doesn’t keep the crowds away, so get here early if you can. Fans recommend the grilled chicken, spinach, feta and mushrooms. Try a giant pancake on the side. 57 Water Street, Wakefield.

We suggest you check out all three of these spots and report back on your favorite. Better yet, let us know if you have a brunch pick we should add to our list. Bon appétit.
